Shimano – Stradic FM Spinning Reels

Description

The Shimano Stradic FM Spinning Reel series is built for anglers who want a reel that feels light and refined in the hand but still has the strength to fish hard day after day. Shimano combines its rigid HAGANE Body and cold-forged HAGANE Gear with InfinityXross and MicroModule Gear II, giving the Stradic a solid, exceptionally smooth drivetrain that stays composed when a good fish loads the rod. InfinityDrive further reduces internal friction, so the reel keeps turning efficiently under pressure — a benefit you can immediately feel when bucktailing in current, working a plug all day, or trying to gain line on a hard-running striped bass.

The FM generation also adds DuraCross drag washers for smooth drag performance with dramatically improved durability, while X-Protect helps keep water out of key areas without sacrificing the light rotational feel Stradic anglers expect. Shimano’s Anti-Twist Fin and Long Stroke Spool improve line management and casting performance, making the series especially well suited to braid, light leaders and repeated casting. With models from the compact 1000HG through the C5000XG, the Stradic FM is an outstanding Northeast choice for freshwater, back-bay fishing, fluke bucktailing, weakfish, sea bass, false albacore, striped bass and other light-to-medium inshore applications. For the angler who wants premium Shimano smoothness and technology without stepping all the way into Stella or Twin Power pricing, the Stradic FM hits a very attractive sweet spot.
