Shimano – Saragosa SWA Spinning Reels

Description

The Shimano Saragosa SW A Spinning Reel series is built for anglers who expect their spinning tackle to stay smooth, powerful and dependable when the fish on the other end is anything but. Designed as a true saltwater workhorse, the Saragosa SW A combines Shimano’s rigid HAGANE Body and cold-forged HAGANE Gear with Infinity Drive, a low-friction drivetrain that helps the reel keep turning efficiently even when you’re winding against heavy drag pressure or a hard-running fish. The result is the kind of cranking power you appreciate when a tuna settles into a deep circle, a big striped bass digs into current, or you’re trying to move a stubborn fish away from structure.

Shimano also gives the Saragosa SW A serious protection for the environment it was made to fish in. An IPX8-rated waterproof body, X-Shield and X-Protect help limit saltwater intrusion, while the waterproof Cross Carbon drag system delivers smooth, durable pressure during long fights. With sizes from the versatile 5000XG through the high-capacity 25000, the series covers Northeast applications ranging from striped bass, false albacore and heavy inshore work to jigging, popping and bait fishing for bluefin and yellowfin tuna. For anglers who need legitimate offshore capability without stepping all the way into Shimano’s flagship Stella SW price point, the Saragosa SW A is one of the easiest heavy-duty spinning reels to recommend.
