The Tsunami SaltX II Spinning Reel series is built for anglers who fish where ordinary reels start to struggle — pounding surf, heavy spray, wet decks and hard-running saltwater fish. Its fully sealed, IPX-8-rated design uses 20 internal seals around a CNC-machined A6061 aluminum body and rotor, giving the reel the rigid, weather-resistant foundation you want when your tackle is routinely exposed to salt and sand. Inside, Tsunami’s digitally optimized S-Drive stainless steel main and pinion gears deliver the strength and cranking authority needed to keep gaining line under load, while the sealed Hammer Drag System applies smooth, dependable pressure when a striped bass, bluefish or tuna decides to make another run.

The ArmourTech edition adds a highly corrosion- and scratch-resistant exterior coating designed to protect the reel from the knocks, rod racks, rocks and general abuse that come with serious saltwater fishing. Tsunami also uses titanium for the spool lip, bail wire and main shaft to save weight while maintaining durability, and the manual bail with sealed spring gives surf and heavy-saltwater anglers positive control over every cast. With 3000, 4000 and 6000 sizes, the SaltX II covers Northeast applications from fluke, albies and back-bay striped bass through hard-core surfcasting, heavy inshore work and selected light-offshore jigging and casting.
